About the experience "things to do in rome italy 'PAINT LIKE MICHELANGELO'"

Go back in time and create a little masterpiece, made with your own hands and following the step by step instruction of a master art restorer. Years spent on the scaffolding have enabled Cecilia to find an incredible way to allow anyone to recreate one of the most ancient and beautiful painting techniques, the fresco. The experience takes place in an ancient location near Piazza Navona, in the heart of Rome, permitting a full immersion in history.

You'll able to see and touch the ancient pigments, some used by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, such as the precious Lapis Lazuli. You'll knead the Roman plaster, a recipe that the Master discovered in Rome, and spread it on its support. Each participant will then be able to choose an ancient painting subject to render onto the fresh plaster, using a dusting technique, with brushes and ancient pigments dissolved in water.

This painting lesson is suitable for everyone, children, adults, and beginners, as it is one of the simplest pictorial techniques. The indications provided by the teacher will allow you to complete your work with the satisfaction of obtaining chiaroscuro and three-dimensional effects simply and satisfactorily.
